FPEC has developed a PC program to calculate the pressure required for pigging system, pipe cleaning by use of a pig, oil transfer, washing with water etc., The fluid transfer pattern as shown in the figure below can deal with. For example, liquid/liquid is corresponding to oil transfer by different kind of oil, gas/liquid to oil drain out by N2 gas, etc. 
Furthermore, it can be used when controlling the pressure of receiver.  Please contact us if you need to calculate the pressure for pigging system.

Our program can applicable for all of the below flow patterns.

  Liquid discharge from pig receiver  

When discharge fluid from the pig receiver, it may discharge to the atmosphere or store in a tank.  Also, when discharging, two cases may be considered. First one is that pressure of the receiver is adjusted by its outlet valve in order to control the discharge volume, and the second is direct discharge to the atmosphere without controlling the pressure. The pressure required for the pig system differs depending on the discharge method.  Our program supports any release method.
