For hydraulic calculation of fire water mains and water spray / sprinkler piping,  PIPENET software (developed by Sunmicro, adopted by Major Oil Companies) is utilized.

Network Hydraulic Calculation of Fire Mains

As shown in below figure, we can calculate even for the complicated piping systems.
When several fire water pumps are connected to the fire mains, it must be confirmed that no problem is caused from simultaneous running of those pumps, if the performance curves are different from each other.  Sometimes, load is concentrated to the single pump and the other pumps are running with no discharge.  If the problem is found, a proper improvement plan will be proposed with additional calculations.

Hydraulic Calculations for Spray/Sprinkler System

Based on NFPA or other laws or regulations, the hydraulic calculations for water sprinkler system, water spray system, etc. will be performed by PIPENET and/or other programs owned by FPEC.
Hydraulic calculation of grid piping system including several piping material or diameter, short spool pipes or restriction orifices are also possible and usual for us.
